Colin Maguire: Stylin' Tees with a Purpose

Moms of boys know that they often get the short end of the fashion stick. Clothes for boys often come in two categories: plain and ordinary play clothes, or please dear god don't let him get it dirty dress clothes. A new company, Colin Maguire, has introduced a stylish new line of boys clothing that combines comfort and style. They have incorporated an extrodinary cause too that makes you feel good by just buying a t-shirt.

Colin Maguire was created by an entrepreneurial couple in partnership with The Children's Inn at NIH. How it works is the kids at the National Institues of Health create the artwork and Colin Maguire by way of owners Carrie and Matt Eckert turn the designs into stylish clothing for your kids.

The National Institutes of Health provides the latest treatment options for seriously ill children. The Inn at NIH offers a place like home for these great children and their families. Colin Maguire’s partnership with The Inn at NIH supports the Inn financially, and gives the children a way of sharing the spirit of the inn with a wider audience (plus how cool is it to see your artwork on a t-shirt!)

I immediately fell for their eagle and lion layered t-shirts for my animal lover. The shirts are crafted from 100% super-soft cotton and are available in sizes 18-24 mos, 2T, 3T, 4T and 5T. The are introducing new art work monthly so there is alway something new to buy. You even get a special "About the ArtNew artwork is submitted regularly allowing for the launch of a new tee shirt every month! All come with unique “About the Artist” hangtags that tell you all about the child that created your design.

If your a mom of girls, they have introduced a lion tee for the girls and have a more complete girls line coming in Spring 2007.
